Basketball Recap: Hunt Warriors vs. South Johnston Trojans

Hunt won the last time they faced South Johnston and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hunt Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-54 win over the South Johnston Trojans.

Hunt got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Na'Sir Hines out in front who posted 11 points along with six assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Hampton, who went 6 of 7 en route to 14 points and five rebounds.

Hines wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Hunt was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Johnston only posted five assists.

When it comes to explaining why South Johnston lost, don't look at Cole Norris. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 9 on his way to 23 points and seven boards. That's the most points Norris has posted since back in February of 2024.
