Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian hasn't had much luck against Frankton recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Braves will take on the Eagles in a tournament on Saturday.

Jacob Jackson put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Jackson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Jackson wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Max Warner, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Another was Luke Metzler, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Frankton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against Alexandria-Monroe by a score of 4-1 on Thursday.

Hunter Ulery spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Frankton is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-6 otherwise.

Frankton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are 5-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Frankton is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian suffered a grim 10-3 defeat to Frankton in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
