Volleyball Game Preview: New Canaan Rams vs. Darien Blue Wave

New Canaan is 0-9 against Darien since April of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Rams will host the Blue Wave at 4:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with New Canaan sitting on nine straight victories and Darien on five.

New Canaan is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: Ridgefield, who was ranked 24th at the time (New Canaan was ranked 12th). The Rams blew past the Tigers 3-0 on Monday.

New Canaan's got stronger as the match went on, holding Ridgefield to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-22, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Darien made easy work of St. Joseph on Monday and carried off a 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-9, 25-14.

Darien pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for New Canaan, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
