Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Van Buren). Their defense stepped up to hand Penobscot Christian a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Van Buren's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

The victory got Van Buren back to even at 2-2. As for Penobscot Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Van Buren will welcome Southern Aroostook at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Penobscot Christian, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bangor Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
