Preview: Wheaton Knights vs. Whitman Vikings
Wheaton is 0-8 against Whitman since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Wheaton Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Whitman Vikings at 7:15 p.m.
Last Tuesday, Wheaton came up short against Northwest and fell 46-34. Wheaton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Whitman made easy work of Northwood on Friday and carried off a 72-49 victory. With that victory, Whitman brought their scoring average up to 60 points per game.
Whitman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sean Curran led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Walsh, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 19 points and 2 assists.
Wheaton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Whitman, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
