Soccer Game Preview: North Central vs. York Prep

The North Central Knights will head out on the road to face off against the York Prep Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. York Prep took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on North Central, who comes in off a win.

North Central will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals back in March, then bounced right back against Camden Military on Tuesday. The Knights walked away with a 4-2 win over the Spartans. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for North Central's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, York Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Buford. That's two games in a row now that York Prep have lost by just one goal.

Clay Cooper wasn't going to let Buford walk away unscathed as he scored both of York Prep's goals, bringing his season total up to ten goals.

York Prep now has a losing record of 5-6-1. As for North Central, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.
