Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Groesbeck's Winning Streak

After flying high against Kerens last Friday, Groesbeck came back down to earth. The Groesbeck Goats took a 45-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elkhart Elks. If the Goats were looking for revenge after losing 51-27 to them when the teams met on Tuesday, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The loss snapped Groesbeck's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-8 record. As for Elkhart, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-11.

Groesbeck will take on Kennard on Thursday. Groesbeck is facing Kennard at the right time seeing as Kennard is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Elkhart, they will take on Slocum in a tournament on Thursday.
