Basketball Recap: Sweetwater Wildcats vs. Midway Green Wave
On TuesdaySweetwater's undefeated season almost came to an end. They had just enough and edged the Midway Green Wave out 54-51. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Green Wave, too.
Sweetwater found their leader in sophomore Bryson Burgess, who posted 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for Burgess. Gus Campbell was another key player, posting eight points.
Sweetwater's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Midway, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sweetwater will challenge Loudon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Midway, they will square off against Oliver Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
