Softball Recap: Latin Gets the Win

Latin took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Woodlands Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Romans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 14-12 win over the Wildcats on Tuesday. Considering the Romans' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Latin's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Woodlands Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Latin will challenge Francis W. Parker at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woodlands Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Regina Dominican at 4:30 p.m. on the 29th.
