Softball Recap: Pikeville's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Monday. Pikeville walked away with a 7-2 victory over Tug Valley. Pikeville has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Tug Valley, too.

Pikeville's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9. As for Tug Valley, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pikeville will face off against Perry County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Commodores' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Tug Valley, they will challenge Huntington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
