Aquinas had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Westside Patriots. While the Fightin' Irish didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Aquinas took both sets by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-10.

Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Westside, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Aquinas didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Cross Creek on the 28th. Westside has also already played their next match (against Hephzibah), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
