Soccer Game Preview: West Brook vs. Port Neches-Groves

The West Brook Bruins are taking a road trip to take on the Port Neches-Groves Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

West Brook is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Beaumont United a 6-0 shutout on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bruins considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

They hit Beaumont United with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Yurem Bachez (2), Danny Gutierrez (2), Noah Smith, and Rondell Malbrough.

Meanwhile, Port Neches-Groves hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. Neither they nor Nederland could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

West Brook has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four games. Port Neches-Groves' draw makes their record 11-0-2 this season.

West Brook came up short against Port Neches-Groves in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, falling 2-0. Can West Brook avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
