Basketball Recap: Pembroke Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Pembroke and Newburyport squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Pembroke had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 76-46 loss at the hands of the Newburyport Clippers. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while the Clippers are ranked 40th).

Pembroke has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Newburyport and bumps their season record up to 19-2.

As of now, neither Pembroke nor Newburyport have any future games scheduled.
