West came tearing into Friday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Sunnyside Wildcats by a score of 46-38.

Defeat or not, Sunnyside got some senior leadership from Malachi Barnes and CJ Jones. Barnes posted 14 points, while Jones scored 15 points.

West's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Sunnyside, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-45 win against Hoover on the 28th. As for Sunnyside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-51 victory against Reno on the 28th.
