Basketball Game Preview: Madison County Red Raiders vs. Eastside Eagles

The Madison County Red Raiders will face off against the Eastside Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Eastside likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Madison County earned a 66-57 win over Cedar Shoals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Eastside, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 49-38 victory over Walnut Grove on Friday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Warriors are ranked 415th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eastside pushed their record up to 13-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Madison County, their victory bumped their record up to 18-6.

Madison County was able to grind out a solid win over Eastside in their previous matchup back in January, winning 52-45. Does Madison County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eastside turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
