Volleyball Recap: Veritas Prep's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday

After a string of 12 wins, Veritas Prep's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Cicero Prep Academy Centurions by a score of 3-2. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Centurions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Veritas Prep wouldn't go down easily and took Cicero Prep Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 24-26, 20-25, 15-10.

Veritas Prep's loss dropped their record down to 22-11. As for Cicero Prep Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season.

Veritas Prep is taking a road trip to challenge NFL Yet Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cicero Prep Academy, they will be playing at home against Joseph City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
