Basketball Game Preview: Midwest Central/Delavan Raiders vs. Lewistown Indians

Midwest Central/Delavan hasn't had much luck against Lewistown recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Raiders will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Midwest Central/Delavan has given up an average of 49.5 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Midwest Central/Delavan is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Heyworth on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Raiders were dealt a 59-24 loss at the hands of the Hornets. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-15.

Meanwhile, Lewistown strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took their game with ease, bagging a 53-19 victory over Peoria Heights. The Indians' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Midwest Central/Delavan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lewistown, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Midwest Central/Delavan skirted past Lewistown 33-31 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
