Baseball Game Preview: Pleasant Valley Bears vs. Pocono Mountain West Panthers

The Pleasant Valley Bears will venture away from home to take on the Pocono Mountain West Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Parkland hit Pleasant Valley with a six-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bears lost 10-3 to the Trojans. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Pocono Mountain West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They fell 5-2 to Louis E. Dieruff. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly three runs.

Pocono Mountain West's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Pleasant Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Pleasant Valley skirted past Pocono Mountain West 2-1 when the teams last played on April 9th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
