Aucilla Christian has gone a perfect 6-0 against Jefferson County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Aucilla Christian Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Jefferson County Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Jefferson County will be up against a hot Aucilla Christian squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Aucilla Christian was the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over Hamilton County on Tuesday. Fans of the Warriors have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Shaw Lundy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. What's more, he also racked up four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 1-for-4.
In other pitching news, Gavin Thompson looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
Back at the plate, Cooper Wiles was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Roberts, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Jefferson County took on Gadsden County on Tuesday. Jefferson County blew past Gadsden County 21-1. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Like Aucilla Christian, Jefferson County also got a great game from a two-way player: Matthew (Britt) Jimenez. On the mound, Jimenez pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Ja'Lon Crumity struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Those no hits gave Jimenez a new career-low. At the plate, Jimenez scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Crumity scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Jefferson County got a massive performance out of Ulises Reynoza, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lanzavian Footman, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Aucilla Christian's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Jefferson County, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Aucilla Christian took their win against Jefferson County in their previous meeting on Friday by a conclusive 23-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Aucilla Christian since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
