East Chapel Hill kept up with Durham Academy until halftime on Friday, but afterwards: not so much. The Cavaliers' defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 4-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for Durham Academy, who have now won three matches in a row.

They hit East Chapel Hill with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Anna Morris (2), Emery Taylor, and Georgia Zengerle.

Durham Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. As for East Chapel Hill, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Durham Academy will head out to square off against Cary Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cary Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Durham Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Chapel Hill, they are taking a road trip to challenge Jordan at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
