Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Burr Oak

It was a proper cat-fight when Burr Oak duked it out withClimax-Scotts on Thursday. The Burr Oak Bobcats walked away with a 55-48 win over the Climax-Scotts Panthers. The victory was nothing new for the Bobcats as they're now sitting on three straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Burr Oak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braxton Boyles, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points along with seven boards and three steals. Boyles is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Austin Cole, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Burr Oak's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for Climax-Scotts, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Coincidentally, Burr Oak and Climax-Scotts will both be playing Mendon the next time they take the court. Burr Oak will host Mendon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Climax-Scotts will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
