Basketball Recap: Dunedin Falcons vs. Pinellas Park Patriots

This season hasn't been kind to the Dunedin Falcons, who are still winless after their 20th game. They fell just short of Pinellas Park by a score of 51-48. If Dunedin was looking for revenge after losing 52-48 to them when the teams met on Friday, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dunedin lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aidan Laird, who scored 14 points along with five steals. Albert Mendez was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Dunedin smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Dunedin's loss was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-20. As for Pinellas Park, their victory ended a 20-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-19.

Dunedin will square off against the Knights at TBD on Tuesday. Robinson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 324 points over their last five matchups. Pinellas Park is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Wharton is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games.
