Volleyball Game Preview: Freedom Falcons vs. College Park Falcons

Freedom is 0-3 against College Park since May of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. We've got a battle between Falcons coming up. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Freedom took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Pittsburg, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Freedom won by a set and slipped past Pittsburg 3-2. The game was the first time the Falcons have beaten the Pirates on their court since April 4, 2023.

Freedom had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-16, 15-12.

College Park not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since February 27th. They put the hurt on Clayton Valley Charter with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

College Park's got stronger as the match went on, holding Clayton Valley Charter to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-22, 25-17.

College Park's record is now 18-5. As for Freedom, they pushed their record up to 6-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Freedom came up short against College Park in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Freedom avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
