Basketball Game Preview: South Bison vs. Prospect Ridge Academy Miners

The South Bison will take on the Prospect Ridge Academy Miners in a tournament on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

South is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They secured a 54-48 W over Southeast on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Prospect Ridge Academy really took it to Arvada for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-43 win. The Miners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 22 points or more this season.

South better keep an eye on Jack Brandt. He was instrumental in Prospect Ridge Academy's win, dropping a double-double with 33 points and 12 rebounds. Brandt's big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Russell, who posted six points and eight boards.

Prospect Ridge Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

South's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
