Service had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Dimond Lynx 9-2 on Thursday. The  win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on 14 straight dating back to last season.
  Rilen Niclai was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and two  doubles. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ryker Shreck, who  got on base  in both of his plate appearances with two  runs.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Service is set to  take on  their familiar foe Chugiak  at 12:30  p.m.  on Saturday. Meanwhile, Dimond will  square off against  rival Eagle River  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
