Softball Recap: West Scranton Comes Up Short

West Scranton managed to slip by Holy Cross the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. West Scranton came up short against Holy Cross on Friday, falling 15-2. The Invaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Mia Keenan was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Sydney Williamns also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

West Scranton now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Holy Cross, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, West Scranton will venture away from home to take on Wallenpaupack Area at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Holy Cross, they will host Lakeland at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
