Volleyball Recap: Horseshoe Bend Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Ashtyn Dark and Lily Moss

Horseshoe Bend lost against Lee-Scott Academy back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Generals came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-12, 25-21.

Horseshoe Bend's loss came despite strong showings from Lily Moss and Ashtyn Dark. Moss had four aces and one block, while Dark had seven digs.

Horseshoe Bend now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Lee-Scott Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

After both having extra time off, Horseshoe Bend and Central of Coosa County will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Generals their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Booker T. Washington on the 30th.
