Baseball Recap: Del Sol Has No Trouble Against Liberty Baptist Academy

Del Sol's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 19-7 margin over the Liberty Baptist Academy Knights. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by ten runs or more this season.

Issac Vollink was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Bryan Sanchez, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3.

Del Sol always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .719. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win got Del Sol back to even at 4-4. As for Liberty Baptist Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Del Sol will head out to challenge Western at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Del Sol is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.4 runs per game this season. As for Liberty Baptist Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Non Varsity Opponent at 3:30 p.m. on March 25th. Liberty Baptist Academy has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
