Volleyball Recap: Tompkins Gets the Win

Tompkins won the last time they faced Bridgeland and things went their way on Saturday too. The Falcons came out on top against the Bears by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Tompkins was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 21-25, 25-13, 25-16.

Elsa St. Rose paced Tompkins' offense, picking up 16 kills. St. Rose got some help from Ava Shepard and her 23 assists. St. Rose also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Annabelle Journeycake, racking up two apiece.

Tompkins' win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Bridgeland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Tompkins will face off against Paetow at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bridgeland, they will take on Brenham at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Cubs have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
