Volleyball Recap: Imperial Comes Up Short

Imperial was the 2-0 winner over Grossmont when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Foothillers on Friday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ryan Kelley paced Imperial's offense, picking up four kills. Kelley got some help from Penny Rosas and her five assists. Finally, Maddie Magdaleno kept Imperial's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Imperial's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Grossmont, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Imperial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Madison on the 12th. As for Grossmont, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Woodbridge on the 12th.
