Preview: Goldwater Bulldogs vs. Agua Fria Owls
Goldwater is 0-10 against Agua Fria since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Goldwater Bulldogs will look to defend their home court against the Agua Fria Owls at 5:30 p.m. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Goldwater and three for Agua Fria.
Last Friday, Goldwater was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 35-30 to Cactus.
Agua Fria suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Estrella Foothills on the road and fell 72-20. Agua Fria was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-16.
Goldwater bumped their record down to 7-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.5 points per game. As for Agua Fria, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
