After flying high against Irving on Tuesday, Venus came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Kennedale Wildcats by a score of 10-9 on Friday. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Venus' loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Kennedale, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-8-1.

Coincidentally, Venus and Kennedale will both be playing Ferris the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
