Baseball Game Preview: Anderson Prep Academy Jets vs. University Trailblazers

Anderson Prep Academy hasn't had much luck against University recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Jets will square off against the Trailblazers at 5:30 p.m. Anderson Prep Academy has given up an average of 15.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Anderson Prep Academy is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They came up short against Morristown, falling 23-13. On the bright side, the 13- run performance marked the Jets' highest-scoring contest to date.

Breydon Ball was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Landon Clark-Brown was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, University didn't have quite enough to beat Zionsville on Tuesday and fell 5-4. The Trailblazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cooper Cammack was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit over his last five games. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Cammack wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Finn Steiner, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Anderson Prep Academy's record is now 1-12. As for University, their record now sits at 11-10.

Anderson Prep Academy suffered a grim 22-0 defeat to University in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Jets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
