Football Recap: Pikeville Takes a Loss

Pikeville lost against Belfry back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers were dealt a 41-3 defeat at the hands of the Pirates. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Pikeville now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Belfry, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Pikeville will be playing in front of their home fans against Powell County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Pirates' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Belfry, they will take on Pike County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will be up against the Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
