Football Recap: Wiregrass Ranch Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 46 points the game before, Wiregrass Ranch was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against the Mitchell Mustangs, falling 31-6. The Bulls were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-0.

Daniel Terry threw for 168 yards and one touchdown. Jonah Gonzalez was his top target, picking up 58 receiving yards and one score.

It was another big night for Bryce Backus, who rushed for 169 yards and one TD while picking up 8.9 yards per carry for Mitchell.

Wiregrass Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Mitchell, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Coming up, Wiregrass Ranch will venture away from home to take on Springstead at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulls will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.14 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mitchell, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sunlake at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
