Basketball Recap: Augusta Prep Day Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Augusta Prep Day had lost three straight headed into Friday's contest, but Elijah McFadgen didn't let it get to four. The Augusta Prep Day Cavaliers breezed by the Westminster Christian Academy Lions to the tune of 54-16 on Friday thanks in part to McFadgen, who posted 27 points and three steals. The match was his fifth in a row with at least ten points.

Jack Thompson was another key player, putting up five points and five boards. What's more, he also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024.

Augusta Prep Day's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Westminster Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Augusta Prep Day didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-34 win against Briarwood Academy on the 20th. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they will take on John Hancock Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
