Permian and Midland Legacy are an even 4-4-2 against one another since February of 2021, but likely not for long. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Midland Legacy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Permian, who comes in off a win.

Permian's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against San Angelo Central by a score of 2-0. The game was the first time Permian have beaten San Angelo Central on their pitch since March 4, 2022.

Zaydn Araujo was the driving force of Permian's attack as he scored both of Permian's goals, bringing his season total up to three goals.

Meanwhile, Midland Legacy fell victim to Frenship and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. While losing is never fun, Midland Legacy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 525th, while Frenship are ranked 169th).

Permian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-2 record this season. As for Midland Legacy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-5.

Permian was able to grind out a solid victory over Midland Legacy when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 3-1. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
