Basketball Recap: Hill School's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hill School posted their closest win since January 17th on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Westtown 60-57. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Westtown are ranked 63rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win was the third in a row for Hill School, bringing their record for this year to 8-1. As for Westtown, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2.

Hill School will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Springside at 3:30 p.m. on January 5, 2025. As for Westtown, they will be taking part in a tournament against DeMatha at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. DeMatha is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.1 points per game this season.
