Basketball Recap: Knowledge Academies Piles Up the Points Against Republic

Knowledge Academies not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 9, 2024 (when they won 80-16). They blew past RePublic 72-45. Knowledge Academies hasn't had any issues with RePublic recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Travis Campbell was a one-man wrecking crew as he dropped a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Those 13 boards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Anderson, who posted ten points.

Despite the defeat, RePublic saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gracien Niyonzima shot 67% from the field on his way to 17 points in addition to five rebounds and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Jamal Morris, who went 5-for-9 en route to 12 points.

Knowledge Academies' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for RePublic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Knowledge Academies has already played their next contest, a 56-48 win against Lighthouse Christian on the 3rd. As for RePublic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 79-42 defeat against Westmoreland on the 5th.
