Soccer Recap: West Shore Falls Short of Edgewood in the Playoffs

West Shore and Edgewood squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but West Shore had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Edgewood Red Wolves by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty eight goals in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Brooklynn Lauer, who's now up to three this season.

The defeat snapped West Shore's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-4-6 record. As for Edgewood, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-3-3 record this season.

West Shore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Edgewood, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy on the 28th.
