Basketball Recap: Camron Anderson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Anderson Prep Academy over Liberty Christian

Anderson Prep Academy suffered their closest loss since February 21st on Friday. They fell just short of the Liberty Christian Lions by a score of 59-57. The defeat continues a trend for the Jets in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost nine in a row.

Anderson Prep Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camron Anderson, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Markus McClain, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Christian Townsend was his usual excellent self, going 7 of 11 on his way to 20 points and five steals for Liberty Christian. A'Marien Page was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 10 points and eight rebounds.

Anderson Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Liberty Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Anderson Prep Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Blue River Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 15, 2025. As for Liberty Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-45 defeat against Pendleton Heights on the 21st.
