Soccer Recap: North East Comes Up Short

North East lost against Girard back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Grape Pickers fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 3-2. North East have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Kai Vanderweele and Conner Hannold scored both of North East's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 29 goals.

North East's loss dropped their record down to 8-8-1. As for Girard, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

North East wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 12-0 defeat against Fairview on the 14th. As for Girard, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Warren on the 11th.
