Volleyball Recap: Mandeville Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mandeville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northlake Christian Wolverines. If the Skippers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Wolverines when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Northlake Christian scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 23-25, 25-19, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Mandeville still got an impressive performance from Alyssa Gaudet, who had 20 digs and two aces. With that strong performance, Gaudet is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinsley Windom, who had 11 digs.

Mandeville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Northlake Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7-1 record this season.

Mandeville will take on Chalmette at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northlake Christian, they will challenge Northshore at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
