Baseball Game Preview: Taravella Trojans vs. Western Wildcats

The Taravella Trojans will take on the Western Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Taravella heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Monday. They fell just short of Western by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Trojans have suffered since April 2, 2024.

For Western's part, Jimmy Huard tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Huard has become a key player for the Wildcats: the team is undefeated when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 9-13 otherwise.

At the plate, Western saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jorge Falagan, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

With the defeat, Western broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-14. As for Taravella, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10.
