Soccer Recap: Mabton Falls Short Against Ranked Upper Columbia Academy + How To Watch

Mabton faced Upper Columbia Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Vikings fell 3-1 to the Lions. Mabton were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Upper Columbia Academy earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

This is the second loss in a row for Mabton and nudges their season record down to 4-3. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 6-2-1 St. George's (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.1% over those games). As for Upper Columbia Academy, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 6-6.

Looking ahead, Mabton will challenge Walla Walla Valley Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Upper Columbia Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against St. George's on the 16th.
