Recap: Mountain View Mountain Lions vs. Fort Morgan Mustangs
The Mountain View Mountain Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 66-20 victory over Fort Morgan. That looming 66-20 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Mountain View yet this season.
Leading Mountain View to victory were Madison Keil and Addison Branscum. Keil scored 15 points along with seven rebounds, while Branscum scored 12 points. That's the first time this season that Keil scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Soliz, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Mountain View pushed their record up to 4-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Fort Morgan, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Mountain View will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Berthoud at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. As for Fort Morgan, they will head out on the road to face off against Brush at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
