Basketball Recap: Quincy Trojans vs. Biggs Wolverines
Quincy lost against Biggs back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Quincy Trojans received a blow as they fell 61-46 to the Biggs Wolverines.
Brady Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Biggs, going 10 for 18 on his way to 24 points in addition to eight assists and five boards. Smith is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Hunter Seipert, who went 6 of 11 en route to 14 points and five assists.
Quincy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Biggs, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quincy will face off against Portola at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Portola knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 games -- so hopefully Quincy likes a good challenge. As for Biggs, they will challenge Hamilton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Biggs will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
