Football Preview: High Point Christian Academy Cougars vs. South Wake Lions        
        
		
             Two dominant  in  Josh L. Smith and  Josh Baker are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. After each having a week off, the High Point Christian Academy Cougars and the South Wake Lions will dust off their jerseys to  challenge  one another  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. High Point Christian Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
 High Point Christian Academy gave up the first  points last Friday, but they didn't let that get them  down. They pulled ahead with  a  22-21 photo finish over Charlotte Country Day School. The 22-point effort marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring  match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
  Jaylen Moore continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 179 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. Moore is  crushing it when it comes to  rushing yards: he's   rushed for at least 137 every time he's  taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Toot Clay, who picked up 126 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 High Point Christian Academy's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of  Landon Davis and  Clay. Davis also set a new season high mark in  total tackles with eight.
 High Point Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 206  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 206  rushing yards in four consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile,  after a string of three wins, South Wake's good fortune finally ran out  last Saturday. The  matchup between them and American Leadership Academy-Johnston wasn't particularly close, with South Wake falling  38-21. The Lions were down  30-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
 High Point Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for South Wake, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
