Softball Recap: South Elgin Has No Trouble Against Central

South Elgin got themselves on the board against Central on Saturday, but Central never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Rockets with a sharp 8-0 victory. The Storm might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

Central's batters probably weren't too happy with Jenna Sheehan, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (she gave up zero walks). Sheehan has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Emma Bell was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Addison Tinnerella was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

South Elgin hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters every time they've taken the field this season.

South Elgin's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Central, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: South Elgin beat the Rockets by a score of 4-3 later that day.
