Football Recap: Burges Find Success

If Horizon wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Burges, they should've done a better job of containing Nezahul Cisneros. The Mustangs narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Scorpions 31-28 for which the team can thank Cisneros, who rushed for 194 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards.

Several Scorpions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jose Castillo, who picked up 126 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 38 yards and one TD. Mauricio Payan was another key passer, throwing for 173 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Burges now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Horizon, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.
